This category is open to Building Contractors who demonstrate best practice in the construction of a commercial or industrial building valued at under €10m and completed within the past 24 months. The project can be any type of commercial or industrial building including but not limited to offices, retail units, student accommodation, mixed use, factories, manufacture and assembly buildings, power plants, data-centres, or warehouses. The project can be new build or a substantial extension to an existing build.

Open to Building or Specialist Contractors who demonstrate best practice in the construction, conservation or major restoration of a public or heritage building completed within the past 24 months. The project can be any type of Public or Heritage Building including but not limited to museums, galleries, courthouses, theatres, exhibition space or community building. The entry can be a new project or a substantial element of an existing build.

This category is open to Home Builders or Building Contractors working in partnership with local authorities, housing agencies, developers or charities who demonstrate best practice in the construction of a private or social, single or multi-unit residential project completed within the past 24 months. The project can be new build or a substantial extension to an existing build.

This category is open to any Building, Civil or Specialist Contractors who demonstrate excellence in the way it has applied technical expertise, a process innovation or innovative method of construction to improve the ease and efficiency with which structures can be built on a project completed within the past 24 months. Examples of this could be application of Lean Thinking, Lean Tools, Value Engineering, Offsite Construction, or Process Automation. BIM related entries should be entered in to the dedicated BIM category.

This category is open to any Irish third level college which offers postgraduate, special purpose or distance learning courses to construction industry professionals. These course entries can include but are not limited to the following subjects: BIM and Digital Construction, Lean Construction, Green Building and Sustainability, Health & Safety, Construction Law, Construction Management, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, and Civil Engineering.

This individual is regarded as an innovator in their field and has demonstrated passion and commitment to making the Irish Construction Industry a better place to work.
