The ICE Awards 2024 was hosted by Ireland’s Reigning Queen of Comedy Deirdre O’Kane
Following on from her outstanding performance as our Gala at Home MC and CCD events Deirdre returned to lend her inimitable talents to the 2024 Gala.
A co-founder of Comic Relief in Ireland, Deirdre also recently fronted her own talk show – Deirdre O’Kane Talks Funny and debuted a brand new series, The Deirdre O’Kane Show, with Sky in 2021.
An accomplished movie, television and theatre actor, Deirdre is a six-time IFTA nominee and awarded Best Lead Actress (Film) 2015 for her role as Christina Noble. Deirdre starred alongside Debi Mazar and Hillary Duff in Darren Starr’s hit sitcom Younger. Other TV credits include Paths to Freedom, The Clinic, Fergus’s Wedding, The Fitz, and Bittersweet. She appeared in the leading role of Debra Moone in three series of Moone. Theatre credits include Mary in Juno and the Paycock at The Abbey and Miss Funny in At the Black Pig’s Dyke at the Druid Theatre.
Deirdre can be seen now on the Graham Norton hosted Last One Laughing Ireland, which brings together 10 of Ireland’s premier comic talents on Amazon Prime. Never straying too far from her live stand-up roots Deirdre is currently touring with her hilarious new standup show ‘O’Kaning It’.
